Re: Captain's Log
Forums updated to use the " Video BBCode" Now instead of being able to embed YouTube videos you can do it from other sites (like Vimeo and such). Actually you can do it from these sites:
|
|
|
|
Code:
|
|
|
|
|
Just use the "Video" button on the posting page, or wrap the url in a video and /video tag and it should embed just fine. This does assume of course that the particular videos are allowed for embedding off-site from their hosts. I've proven it works with Vimeo in this new thread: White Water, Black Gold trailer

Re: Captain's Log
The Old Farts Server has been restored to Them - Thank You TOF
Donors Server has been overhauled and returned back to the Donors - with some new options. More on that later. I'm almost done - but not yet..
Forums have been purged of dead users, 26 to be precise.

After some gnashing of teeth and such, DM-Siren-B5 on both servers and the redirect.
Thanks Wail.

Woohooo!!!! Got Brightskins working on the Donors box in Non-Freon Gametypes Long story short, disabled EVERYTHING in UTComp except Brightskcins (and hitsounds), set the default gametpe to Jailbreak and tested great. Terminator came in we voted ONS - Brightskins there too!!! UTVote 5.9 Still functional Early, may need more testing but...Woohooo!!!!

Public server returned to normal as Ripjack Tuesday seemed to clear it out.

Re: Captain's Log
Fixed the TSViewer "pop" on the forums.
Any other idiosyncrasies? (translation: annoying behaviour) Tell me. (an example: the EXACT time somebody joined is displayed beside every post, instead of just the month day year. )
edit: fixed the date thing too. Now displays " Mth day '2-digit-year ". edit2: also got rid of that annoying "posts per page / topics per page" in every single user post

Re: Captain's Log
Bumped server tickrate back to 45 on Public (which is what has been determined being the "sweet spot"). Somewhere along the line it was reverted back to 35. Play on.
*Donor already at 45

Re: Captain's Log
Teamspeak Server has been updated. I have updated the IP entry in DNS, it should be propagated fairly fast.
IF YOU USE AN IP TO CONNECT TO TEAMSPEAK, YOU MUST UPDATE FROM 69.46.39.20 TO 69.46.39.14
If you use the name "ts.houseofcarpe.com" there is nothing further you need to do.
The host we are running this on built a shiny new system and my account was moved. This is a good thing.
If you cannot connect and you are on Windows try this:
1) Open a command prompt 2) Type: ipconfig /flushdns 3) Type: ping -a ts.houseofcarpe.com
You should get something like this:
C:\Temp>ping -a ts.houseofcarpe.com
Pinging ts.houseofcarpe.com [69.46.39.14] with 32 bytes of data: Reply from 69.46.39.14: bytes=32 time=62ms TTL=52
(Note the IP address ending in .14 instead of .20).

Re: Captain's Log
Changed Default map on Donors box to CB-Football - no annoying crowd noises.

Re: Captain's Log
Ticket generated with GameServers regarding recent server crashes.
Logs show nothing. Quite possibly a hardware related issue, we'll see what they say...

Re: Captain's Log
OK server is already up....I don't think their idea of a wipe/reload is accurate....all our files were still there?
I overwrote a few ini's.
Try it out and keep reporting crashes.

Re: Captain's Log
TeamSpeak server updated to RC1 (the latest version available). Should be safe to upgrade your clients to RC2. Please report any problems to me.
